Last summer, there were days when the sky felt especially clear and beautiful. I found myself lifting my head – something I rarely did – and delighting in the clouds and the vast sky.
Then one day, as I quietly gazed at the sky filled with clouds, I noticed a particularly blue patch peeking through the clouds, gently pushed aside by the wind.

In that moment, this thought came to me:
“No matter how much the clouds cover the sky and make it look gray, the sky beyond them remains unchanged, always blue.”

And immediately, a realization followed.
“Ah, this is what God’s love is like. Yes, this is who God is.”

From that point on, God led me to continue meditating on Him through the nature of Jeju, where I live.

Even when my circumstances seem to block my view, beyond them is God’s love, unchanging, unwavering, always keeping watch over me. A love like the ocean, far deeper and more endless than what can be seen on the surface.
I was also shown an image of my own life – once like an empty space where only cold winds blew – being brought back to life as a beautiful landscape filled with colors and vibrant nature.

As I reflected on these scenes of nature, a confession naturally flowed from my heart:
“God is truly this great. All of creation in the universe belongs to the Lord.”

Then, at a moment when I felt prompted to begin composing, a melody for the verse suddenly came to mind.Holding onto that melody, I began to play a chord progression with a prayerful heart, quietly humming along. At that moment, the melody of the chorus flowed out naturally.

When I felt a sense of certainty and began to write the lyrics, I realized that I needed to pour into this song the time I had spent with God throughout that past summer. As I began writing with that heart, the song came together quickly.

For someone like me, who has always found songwriting and composing to be difficult, this experience became a moment of clear realization.

“Ah, this song is a gift from God, holding the moment I’ve shared with Him.”

I hope that this song will also become a gift to you. May it lead you to encounter God – the Creator of all things, who continues to love and embrace us through all of creation – and may it offer you a beautiful moment of joy as you worship Him.
