JCS 10th Graduation Ceremony

On Friday, December 19, 2025, the Christian School affiliated with University of the Nations Jeju held its 10th graduation ceremony at the Momstad Hall of Jeju University of the Nations.
Four students, Noah Kim, Jooyoung Kim, Yejoon Kim, and Onnuri Park, stood at the threshold of graduation after completing two years of high school education.

This was not merely a moment to place a period at the end of their academic journey.
It was a time to reflect together on the path they had walked. A journey of discovering their identity in God, growing to resemble the character of Jesus, learning how to live as true worshipers, and discerning the calling given to each of them under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It was also a space to honestly share how they desire to live going forward as people who make God known.

We offer gratitude and praise to God, who led these four students to this school and faithfully covered them with His boundless love and grace, allowing them to beautifully complete an important chapter of their lives.
With hearts full of blessing, we also look forward to the new stories they will continue to write together with God.

At the center of this graduation ceremony were the individual stories of each graduate.
Among them, we would like to share the graduation presentation of student Onnuri Park, who expressed her journey through a sincere confession, showing how the time at this school bore fruit in one person’s life.

2025 JCS Graduate Presentation Script – Grade 11 Esther Park

Title: Making God Known

Hello. My name is Onnuri Park, and I am a Grade 11 student graduating from JCS this year. The title of the story I would like to share with you today is “Making God Known.” Before I begin, I would like to share my theme Scripture. My theme Scripture is Romans 10:13-15.

13. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
14. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
15. And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.

This passage tells us that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Yet there are still many people in this world who have never heard of God and therefore cannot believe.
God asks us this question: “If there is no one to proclaim His name and His Word to them, how will they ever hear and believe?”
That is why we must become people who bring this good news, people who make God known.

Then how can we make God known?

There are many ways we can make God known.
We can make God known through the way we live our daily lives.
We can share God through media such as blogs and social media.
We can go directly into the field and proclaim God.
We can also make God known by quietly interceding for one soul in prayer.
We can make God known through Scripture, and we can also share God through culture.
We can make God known by asking for intercessory prayer for one soul.
Even a small action can reveal God, and even a small act of kindness can glorify Him.

There are seven spheres in society – religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and economy or science – and we are called to make God known in all of these spheres.
Among these seven spheres, I desire to make God known in the sphere of religion and the sphere of media.

At the beginning of last January, God placed a particular nation in my heart. That nation is Japan.
God called me to the land of Japan, and within that calling, I desire to share God’s love and the gospel to Japan. In particular, God showed me a place called Shikoku.
Japan is made up of four major islands, and Shikoku is the third largest among them.

This past summer, while attending the Staff Conference with my parents, God gave me His heart for Shikoku during a time of worship.
That night, after returning to my room, I researched Shikoku and discovered that there were very few churches compared to the size of the region.
In Shikoku, churches are relatively concentrated in Matsuyama City, Kochi City, Takamatsu City, and Tokushima City, where airports are located. However, these include Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Unification Church, and Catholic churches.
Many Protestant churches were being used as wedding chapels, and some churches had no pastors or congregations and were no longer holding worship services.

As I learned these things, I began to understand why God had shown me this land.
God was calling me to prepare in prayer for Japan and for the land of Shikoku.
So I want to pray not only for Shikoku, but for all of Japan, preparing myself to make God known.
In Japan, Korean culture and media have significant influence. For this reason, I desire to make God known through the sphere of media.
Going forward, I want to use the gifts God has given me to serve Him and make Him known not only in Korea, but also in Japan and among the nations.

No matter the situation, I will not let go of the Word. I will continue to meditate daily to pursue intimacy with God, and I will keep praying for Japan and the nations that God has placed on my heart.
I also plan to turn what God shows and speaks to me into songs of worship. I will study Japanese diligently, prepare for the JLPT exam, and create worship songs in Japanese to share on YouTube, making God known through the spheres of religion and media.

I desire to become someone who proclaims God’s Word and love through worship. I look forward to God who will lead me on every path, guiding me in goodness and righteousness.
I praise God the Father, who is always with me and prepares the very best path for me.

Please pray for me whenever you think of me, that I would stand firmly on God’s Word in every moment and proclaim His Word without any shame.

Thank you.

Graduation Reflection

Before I knew it, the winter of 2025 had arrived. Last February, when I first entered the JCS, the anticipation I felt feels like just yesterday. Looking back over the past two years, I am truly grateful and joyful to see that many of those expectations have been fulfilled.
Each day, I have grown in the love of the friends and teachers at the JCS, and through them, I have been able to know God’s great love more deeply.

Through Bible study, I learned about God’s character and His Word, and as I grew to know God more and draw closer to Him, my expectation for what God would do in my life continued to grow.
I am truly thankful for the times I was able to stand as a true worshiper in prayer and worship, communing with the God who dwells within me and lifting up His great name.

Through this place, I came to understand that I am called as God’s precious child and as a worshiper who worships God in every moment of life. I also realized that God has called me to the nations, especially to the land of Japan.

Knowing that much preparation is needed for this calling, even after graduation I desire to continue living according to this calling through deeper and more intimate fellowship with God, grounded in what I have learned at this school.

I may not know what the future holds, but I will rely on God, who guides my path and walks with me as my loving Father, and will live each day in His presence.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to
Teacher Eunhye, who embraced me with love,
Teacher Jooyeon, who taught with passion,
Teacher Jeonga, who brought humor and laughter,
Teacher Seunghyun, who can do everything,
Teacher Jinju, who taught with righteousness and love,
Teacher Jihyang, who cared for us with warmth,
Teacher Jihye, who treated us with gentleness and kindness,
Teacher Yongbok, who taught English at the students’ level,
Teacher Heemang, who taught Japanese,
and all the teachers who have walked with us.

I also thank my dear JCS friends, with whom I laughed and cried every day, my loving parents who raised me in faith from childhood, and God, who loves me, calls me, and provides for me throughout my life.

I bless everyone here to discover God’s calling and to boldly take the first step in obedience to that calling.

Sincerely, a JCS graduate, Grade 11 student, Esther Park.
