Rest Found on the Jeju Olle Trail
At the end of October, when the cool autumn breeze eased the heat of summer, the From Youth team held the “Olle Trail Meditation Seminar” to mark the second half of 2025. Twelve participants and nine staff members joined this meaningful journey to walk in nature and listen closely to the voice of God.
Walking and Meditating Together for Five Days and Four Nights
From October 28 to 31, for five days and four nights, the group walked along Seoubong Trail, Seongsan Onpyeong Port, and Songaksan Olle Trail
They walked through different parts of Jeju, gazing upon God’s creation, listening for His voice, and meditating on His Word.
The seminar brought together participants ranging from their twenties to their sixties, breaking down generational barriers and creating a time of genuine fellowship as one family in Christ.

God’s Comfort and Restoration Found in Nature
During the seminar, there were several powerful testimonies.
1. The Experience of “God’s Touch” by a Participant in Her Sixties
One woman in her sixties came without knowing Jesus personally.
Having lost her daughter a few years ago, she had fallen into deep despair and hopelessness.
But as she walked the Olle Trail and worshiped, she said she felt as if someone gently touched her, what she described as “the touch of Jesus.”
With tears, she confessed, “I want to take one more step closer to God,” and prayed to receive Christ that day.
2. The Transformation of a Father Who Met God for the First Time
Another participant was the father of a young man who had completed the Restoration DTS the previous year.
He did not know God at all but came with curiosity about “faith.”
At first, he felt awkward watching everyone worship, but as time passed, he began to sense that “something is different,” and his heart slowly began to open.
3. And Many Others…
There was also a sister who had come from London, a couple faithfully living as Christians in their everyday lives,
and a missionary who had been serving overseas without rest for many years.
All of them testified that through the Olle Trail Meditation Seminar, they experienced a deep rest that only God can give.
Some participants said, “I wish the next Olle Trail Seminar would be held again soon,” and after the seminar ended, they created a chat group called “Olle Meditation Seminar 1st Class” to continue praying for one another every day.
For them, the Olle Trail Seminar was not just a walking retreat — it became a resting place prepared personally by God.
“God Works Everywhere”
Many might think the Olle Trail Seminar is simply a time to walk and pray, but through this journey, God reminded everyone that, just as He created nature with beauty, He also created each of us as precious and beautiful in His sight.
He showed that both believers and non-believers are invited to rest in the love of the Father.
True rest is not found in nature itself but in a life of communion with the Creator of that nature.
And to help us experience that grace, He has given us the gift of beautiful creation and the people we love.
Just like the unchanging landscapes of Jeju, our unchanging God continues to work faithfully wherever we are.
We believe that He will keep leading the steps of the From Youth team with His faithfulness, and we give all the glory to Him
