As the end of the month approaches, the heaviness in the body makes even standing up feel like a challenge. For a pregnant woman nearing her due date, even breathing becomes difficult, and every small movement feels like a monumental effort. In such a condition, attending a worship service is no small task.
However, during a recent Thursday gathering, a staff member’s act of worship left a deep impact. Despite nearing her due date and feeling physically drained, she rose slowly and, with great effort, lifted her hands in praise to the Lord. That moment deeply touched the heart. It was a profound expression of longing for Jesus, an unwavering passion, and a mother’s heartfelt love.
That moment sparked a reflection on what true worship is. Worship transcends circumstances and conditions; it is the most sincere offering one can give with their entire being. The act of offering praise, despite discomfort and burdens, carries an emotion and challenge that words cannot fully express.
